Windows Plus Factsheet 1
New Fire Escape Window Regulations

How safe are your loved ones?
In the unfortunate event of a fire, you need to be able to exit your property quickly and safely, all Windows Plus products meet with the latest fire regulations to minimise the risk of injury to the occupants and facilitate speedy entry for emergency services.

The new regulations of fire escape windows which is a minimum of a 0.34 opening and a minimum of 450mm clear opening as stated in Part B 2002 is one of the best best building regulations to come into force, saving lives and reducing injury.

The important of using a FENSA registered company
Unfortunately most DIY and handymen are unaware of current regulations, and if your windows are not fitted by a Fensa registered company you may stand to lose more than you bargained for, (remember fire escape windows are to allow easy access for firemen).

Putting lives before profit
Windows Plus is dedicated to the implementation of these new fire regulations on all our window installations, we also offer free inspections on properties to ensure they meet with current legislation for both fire and energy efficiency.
